Russell Clark Jr. Obituary

Russell L Clark Jr., 81, of Amarillo, TX, passed away on April 11, 2024.

Russell was born in 1942 to Russell and Bessie Clark of Amarillo, TX.  Russell and wife Linnie, both of Amarillo, had three children, Robert (Bobby) Clark and Rhonda (Pooh) Clark, who preceded him in death, and Tracey and Phil McWhorter of Miramar Beach, FL.  In July 1983, Russell married Jean Zetta, of Denver, CO.  Through Jean he gained five bonus children.  Eriq and Kim Zetta of St. Pete, FL, Eriq preceded him in death earlier this year.  Kathy and John Crawford of Shelby, NC.  Kelly and Charlie St. John of North Richland Hills, TX.  Nick and Martha Zetta of Arlington, TX.  Annie and Eric Hillerman of McKinney, TX.  He also enjoyed 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. His sisters, Mary Sorensen, who preceded him in death, and Sandra Kinney of Tooele, UT. He loved being Papa Russell!  Russell and Jean enjoyed many travel adventures through 46 states on whichever Harley Davidson he had at the time.  They loved their adventures together.   Russell was a wonderful Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, as well as a terrific Friend.

Russell owned and operated Clark’s Auto Sales and Salvage for many years before transitioning into Clark’s Auto Crushing for 25+ years.  He enjoyed this phase of his work as it took him all over the Texas Panhandle and neighboring states.

A celebration of life will be planned by his daughter, Tracey, in the near future as he did not wish for a standard funeral, plus a standard funeral would not do him justice.  He will be missed by many.
