Aucensio H. Baeza, Sr., 84, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring St. Inurnment will follow at Llano Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 5:00 pm Monday at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Aucensio was born December 18, 1934 in Las Puentes, Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico to Alonso and Pabla Hernandez Baeza. He married Manuela Saenz in Chihuahua, Mexico on December 4, 1956. He came to the United States in 1958, and became a citizen in 1963. Aucensio farmed in Dell City, Texas, until his retirement in 1998. In his spare time, Aucensio was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed travelling and playing pool. He loved music. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and several siblings. Survivors include his wife, Manuela Baeza; four sons, Manuel Baeza, Ruben Baeza, Aucencio Baeza, Jr. and wife Cindy, and Jaime Baeza and wife Norma, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Maria Baeza Franco and husband Javier of El Paso, and Dora Baeza Widener and husband Jeff of Amarillo; a sister, Elida Rodriguez of Mexico; a brother, Manuel Baeza of Mexico; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
