Deborah Ann (Waldrop) Marshall, 68, of Amarillo, died Sunday, October 6, 2019. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy with Pastor Randy Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Deborah was born September 25, 1951 in Amarillo to Russell “Drip” and Virl Gene Waldrop. She graduated from Palo Duro High School. She married Johnny Marshall in 1977. Deborah worked as a Driver’s License Technician for Texas Dept. of Public Safety for 24 years, until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed collecting Coca Cola and patriotic memorabilia. Deborah cherished spending time with her kids and grandkids, and adored her dog “Lil Joe.” She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Rusty Waldrop; and two sisters, Jodella Waldrop and Sheryl Hudson. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Marshall; a son, Russell Todd Marshall of Amarillo; two daughters, Jodella Jusiak and husband Craig, and Jessica Hise and husband Jason all of Amarillo; two brothers, Michael Waldrop of Amarillo, Terry Waldrop and wife Lora of Littleton, CO; two sisters, Lisa Lagasse and husband Dean of Sun Valley, CA, and Ellen Strickland and husband Randy of Camp Verde, AZ; a sister-in-law, Linda Waldrop; and nine grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to The March of Dimes or The Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
