Dewey George Webb Jr.

Dewey George Webb Jr., 90, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Hillside Christian Church with Pastor Bob Attaway officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Dewey was born May 31, 1929 in Hereford, Texas to Dewey George Sr. and Elsie Webb. Dewey attended Channing High School, before serving in The United States Army Reserves for three years. He married Bernice Hastie in Portales, New Mexico and they shared 67 years of marriage. Dewey was raised in Channing and later moved to Amarillo. He worked for Thomas Cartage and ANR freight for 43 years. Dewey loved to bowl with his close friends and was a great pool player. He enjoyed many trips to Red River, New Mexico; fishing and being with family and friends. Dewey will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers and two grandchildren, Jason and Chad Graham. Dewey is survived by his wife Bernice, of the home; a son, Randall Webb and wife Pam of Amarillo; three daughters, Patty Lancaster and husband Lyndal of Amarillo and Paula Imel and husband Paul of Amarillo and Debbie Ball and husband Glen and family of Houston; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
