Muriel Hahn Obituary

Muriel Hahn, 77, of Amarillo passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at God of Wonders Fellowship with Pastor Randy Srader officiating. Private family burial will follow. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Cox-Rowley funeral home. Muriel was born October 16, 1942 in Secunderabad, India to missionary parents, Ed and Olive Frederick. She received her R.N. degree in 1963 and worked as a nurse for over 25 years. Muriel married Charlie Hahn in 1964. Muriel was very witty with words. She was intelligent, spunky, gentle, loving and forgiving. She loved babies, reading, puzzles, nature and was an avid bird watcher. She was a great woman of faith, had a calming presence and was always very easy to talk to. Her laugh was contagious. Muriel’s greatest satisfaction was derived from family and teaching women’s bible studies at her church. More than anything she sure loved her, Chuckles! She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Millie and her eldest daughter Deborah. Muriel is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charlie Hahn, two daughters, Beth Boland and husband Daron, Rebekah Crosier and husband Dyran, both of Amarillo; two sons, Sam Hahn and wife Melissa of Dallas and David Hahn and wife Kara of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren: Megan, Robin, Chelsea, Taylor, Austin, Bri, Braden, Bryleigh, Maddy, Chase, Landon, Ava and Brooklyn and 5 great-grandchildren: Paisley, Emma, Sawyer, Charlie and Junie. In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial donations be made to The Jesus Film Project P.O Box 628222, Orlando, Florida 32862-8222.
