William Clayton Lay, 39, of Amarillo, died December 23, 2019. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Monday at Trinity Fellowship Church- Student Ministries Building, 5000 Hollywood Rd. with Chaplain John Lay officiating. After Clayton graduated from Vega High School in 1999, he welcomed a beautiful baby girl names Kylee Marie Lay in 2000. Kylee was the light of his life. He had a variety of jobs ranging from CNA, truck driving, prison guard, and his favorite as a forklift operator at Caprock Brick in Lubbock and Mueller Buildings in Amarillo. His favorite pastime was being with family, going to the mountains, and cooking for his loved ones. Although he is not here, Clayton’s spirit will be with us in all the moments we smile, eat an apple pie, or smell a familiar smell that reminds us of how much we love him. Clayton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alan and Nadine Reynolds, and James and Kathleen Lay; and his father, William Efton Lay. Survivors include his daughter, Kylee Lay of Amarillo; his mother, Vickie Lay of Amarillo; his brother, Gregory Boydston and wife Tiffanye of Allison; his sister, Jennifer Lay of Amarillo; five nieces, Tori Coulter and husband Paden of Allison, Hannah Fraley and husband Steven of Canyon, Kaylye Coffman of Amarillo, Savannah Garcia of Amarillo, and Sa’Riya Williams of Amarillo; a nephew, Gavin Boydston of Allison; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
