Johnnie Cornelison Andes

Johnnie Cornelison Andes, 67, of Amarillo, died Monday, September 3, 2018. No services are scheduled at this time. Johnnie was born August 14, 1951 to Everett and Frankie Cornelison. She attended Palo Duro High School. She married Larry Andes on April 7, 1968 in Dalhart. Johnnie worked for Levi Strauss as a seamstress. She also constructed doors for Maywood Construction. She later worked in retail at Sally Beauty Supply and Walgreen's, retiring in 2013. Johnnie adored animals, and was a music lover. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and watching her favorite TV shows. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Andes. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Andes of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Justin Evans, Holden Evans, and Myra Williams all of Amarillo; a sister, Debbie Tyler; and a brother, Jack Cornelison. The family suggests memorials be made to the Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79119.
