Alcaria Garcia

Alcaria G. Garcia, 85, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Msgr. Rex Nicholl. Alcaria was born January 12, 1935 in Wilson County, Texas to Marcelino and Catarina Garcia. She married the love of her life, Joe B. Garcia on October 27, 1951 in Earth, Texas. She dedicated her life to caring for her family. Alcaria enjoyed doing crochet and gardening, especially her rose bushes. Landscaping was one of her passions. Family was everything to her. She loved cooking big meals for the family. In Alcaria’s life, everyone was a friend to her, and no one was a stranger. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Alcaria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe B. Garcia; five brothers, Genaro Garcia, Johnny Garcia, Valentine Garcia, Jose A. Garcia, Esa Garcia; and a sister, Micaela Liserio. Survivors include her daughter, Lupe Garcia of Amarillo; her son, Joe Robert Garcia and wife Nanette of Amarillo; her daughter by heart, Cindy Fulfer of Monahans; a sister, Lupe Olivarez of Edinburg. The family suggest memorials may be made to St Martin Church.
