Alec Brendan Chadick

Alec Brendan Chadick, 23, of Amarillo, died Sunday, December 16, 2018. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at  Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 S. Soncy, with Pastor Heath Gaines of Covenant Fellowship and Rev. Dan Anderson of First Christian Church of Perryton officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Alec was born June 21, 1995 in Amarillo. He attended Perryton High School. He was a graduate of Job Corp. He worked as an installer for Amarillo Diversified Utilities. Alec married Jordan Kent on November 24, 2018, and they welcomed a baby girl, Violet Sue Chadick on December 14, 2018. Alec had a big personality. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it, and had a very generous heart. He enjoyed playing video games and riding four-wheelers. He loved hanging out with friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill "Bobby" Spies; and his grandmother, Jo Ann Chadick. Survivors include his wife, Jordan Chadick; his daughter, Violet Sue Chadick; his mother, Cydney Watson and husband Larry of Perryton; his father, Marlin Chadick and wife, Corie Langford of Amarillo; two sisters, Chandler Chadick of Amarillo, and Kristina Watson of Oklahoma City, OK; three brothers, Andrew Chadick of Amarillo, Ragan Watson of Canyon, and Curtis Johnson of Amarillo; grandparents, Royce Spies of Amarillo, and Wayne and Rebecca Chadick of Shamrock; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family suggests memorials be made to the Benefit Fund for Violet Sue Chadick, c/o Amarillo National Bank at any of the bank locations.
