Alexander Rivera, age 51, of Amarillo died February 25, 2014.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lubbock with Msgr. David Cruz officiating.
Alexander was born on October 19, 1962 in Lubbock to John and Sarah Rivera. He was raised in El Paso, where he graduated from Anderss High School in 1981. He then attended Texas Tech University, before graduating from the University of Houston with his Bachelor's Degree in History. Alexander worked as an exterminatory for many years. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Shauna McClain of Deer Park; son, John Alexander Rivera of Allentown, PA; 2 grandchildren Aidan and Addison McClain; mother, Sarah Jane Rivera; brother, Richard Rivera and wife Marisela Gonzales of Amarillo; 2 sistere, Annette Tah and husband Henry of Avondale, AZ and Felisha DeLaCruz and husband Dennis of Albuquerque, NM and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Rivera.
