Alice Patricia "Trish" Wilson

Alice Patricia “Trish” Wilson, 79, of Amarillo, TX, formerly of Granbury, TX, Tahoka, TX, and Campo, CO, entered eternal rest on November 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday Nov. 29, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Graveside services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Trish was born in Lamar, CO, on August 3, 1944, to Smoky and Ella Hall.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Wilson, and her beloved daughter, Darla Russell.

She spent her formative years in Baca County and moved to Lubbock, TX, to attend South Plains College.  She graduated with her nursing degree at the age of 41 and retired after many years of dedicated service to her patients.  She was the best kind of nurse - detailed, brilliant, and more than willing to tell you what to do.

While obtaining her degree she met Bob Wilson, a dashing ATF agent, and was smitten.  They were married in October of 1985 and forged a life in Tahoka, TX.  They established Pardner’s Ranch and it was there Trish found a new passion in barrel racing; Bob hauled her a million miles across the country to make that dream come true.  In 2006 they migrated south to Granbury, TX, and retired into a community they treasured.  They spent their days golfing and enjoying life at a slower pace (as slow a pace as Trish would allow, at least.)  She was an incredibly talented and decorated quilter and had a perch at quilt shops around the state, but the friends she found at Houston St. Mercantile on the historic Granbury Square have remained some of the most special people in her life.

Trish was particular, loyal, and stubborn.  The sacrifices she made throughout her life for her family and friends will produce fruit for generations, and her legacy is a proud one.  She was a cherished Grandma Trish to her 9 grandbabies and 13 great-grandbabies and spared no expense to load her Amazon cart with their treasures.  Her vices included pina coladas, Matthew McConaughey, colorful language, and one sacred menthol cigarette daily, pulled from her gold lame coin purse.

Trish is survived by her children, Debbie Mask and husband Rick of Amarillo, Derek Wait and wife Krystal of Amarillo, and Denny Wait of Campo, CO; her grandchildren, Flint Mask and wife Becki of Amarillo, Chad Mask and wife Ashley of Amarillo, Chase Mask and wife Allison of Amarillo, Chance Wait of Amarillo, Channing Wait of Austin, Harlee Wait of Amarillo, Kyla Wait of Mosca, CO, Conner Russell and wife Jordann of Portales, NM, and Carli Russell of Hastings, NE; her great-grandchildren Emery, Wyatt, Olivia, Emilia, Levi Walker, Logan Faye, Redding, Breckin, Bristol, Branson, Lane, Jackson, and Lewis; and her niece and nephew, Carrie Kester of Reno, NV, and Van Leimer, of Santa Fe, NM.  She is also mourned by countless friends, golfing partners, quilting buddies, and her faithful sidekick, Lady.
