Anabel Ruth Beach

Anabel Ruth Beach was born in Elbing, KS on January 29, 1937 to Jamie and Virgie Moore. In 1953, she married Dr. Edward Faulkner. After Ed graduated from dental school, he joined the Air Force and they moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where they were blessed with their oldest child, Brian. After leaving the Air Force, they moved back to El Dorado, Kansas where Brad and Brock were born. In 1968, Ann was elected City Commissioner of El Dorado. Ann married her soul mate Mr. John W. Beach in Wichita, KS on February 1, 1975. Anybody that knew Ann, knew that she was passionate about sports, politics, and her faith in Jesus Christ. Having spent the majority of her early life in Kansas, she loved her Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Royals. Upon John's retirement, they spent 6 years in Pensacola, FL before moving to Amarillo in 2002. John preceded her in death on July 2, 2006. Ann worked at Haverty's Furniture in design and sales for many years. Upon her retirement, she became a member of Amarillo Senior Community, where she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She was also a member of Cornerstone Church in Amarillo where she met some wonderful people who became family for her. Surviving family members include: Sons Brian Faulkner of Neosho, MO and Brock Faulkner and wife Denese of Acworth, GA; granddaughter, Alissa Faulkner Preston and husband Josh Preston of Augusta, GA; grandson Austin Faulkner of Acworth, GA; daughter-in-law Vicki Wojciechowski of Cocoa Beach, FL; her pastor, Jim Loper and wife Debbie; and her church family, including David and Theresa Heider, Sherman and Lila Kitch, Alfred and Enola Nichols and daughter Rachel, and Barry and Debbie Metcalf. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister, husband John W. Beach and her son, Bradley Faulkner.
