Andy Butt

Andy was born on August 20, 1963 in Clayton, NM to Gary and Joanne Butt. He was raised in Clayton, graduating from Clayton High School in 1981. He moved to Amarillo that same year, where he graduated from Amarillo College with his Associate's Degree. Andy married Holly Kohler on August 10, 1985. He worked for the Amarillo Fire Department for 18 ½ years and was on the Potter County Volunteer Fire Department for 24 years. He loved being outdoors, where he enjoyed gardening, landscaping and going to the mountains of Red River. Most of all, Andy was proud to be "Papa" to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Holly Butt of Amarillo; son, Zachary Butt and wife Lindsey of Amarillo; daughter, Christine Price and husband Aaron of Canyon; mother, Joanne Butt of Clayton, NM; sister, Kathy Rathburn and husband Scott of River Dale, CA; 2 sister-in-laws, Susan Ray and husband Jim of Canyon and Conny Ruthven and husband Glenn of Austin; brother-in-law, Bobby Kohler and wife Jessica of Canyon; parents-in-law, Jimmie and Sally Kohler of Boise City, OK; 3 grandchildren, David, Brennan and Braxton and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Andy is preceded in death by his father, Gary Butt.
