Angel Pedroza

Jose “Angel” Pedroza, 17, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday June 21, 2023.

Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 AM Tuesday June 27, 2023 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N Spring St.  A Rosary service will be held 6:00 PM Monday June 26, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Angel was born on August 16, 2005 in Amarillo to Erineo Jr. and Rosa Pedroza. He attended Palo Duro High School and graduated in May, class of 2023. Angel had a deep love for all kinds of music and was heavily involved in the P.D. band; He was the best dad to his band kids. He competed in music competition and was accepted to Amarillo College before he passed away. Angel enjoyed being outdoors, painting, working with Lego’s and playing video games in his free time. Angel’s friends remember how talented he was when it came to learning a new song, or instrument. He learned the guitar in just a few weeks and soaked up new music like a sponge. Angel was a master at Guitar Hero and also taught his friends to play. He was an inspiration to all of those around him and brought so much joy to others.

He was devoted to his family and spent valuable time with them. Angel’s family specifically recalls how he rarely met a stranger and had a deep love for people. He was a steadfast friend and was never afraid to meet someone new. Angel was a free spirit, he was loved by so many and will be missed.

Angel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erineo and Gregoria Pedroza and Jose and Maria Mireles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Erineo Jr. and Rosa Pedroza; his brother, Erineo Pedroza III and his wife, Valeria; his sister, Krystal Pedroza and her husband, Eric all of Amarillo; Aunts and Uncles, Manuel Flores, Jose Mireles, Martha DeAnda, Armando Mireles, Irma Mendoza, Antonio Mireles, Eduardo Mireles, Mary Izaguirre, Yolanda Class, Joe Pedroza, Raymond Pedroza, Tony Pedroza and Dolores Cruz; Survivors also include a host of close cousins and extended family members.
