Annie Marie (Luther) Mcadams

Annie McAdams, 93, formerly of Clayton, New Mexico passed away on June 15, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday June 19, 2024 at Claude Cemetery with Rev. Corky Holland, of First Baptist Church of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-Rowley Funeral Home in Amarillo.

Annie Marie Luther was born on October 18, 1930 in Claude, Texas to John and Beryle Luther. In 1947, she graduated from Claude High School with her future husband J.T. McAdams.  J.T. and Annie were married on September 23, 1950. They spent the next 72 years expanding their farming and ranching operation in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Together, they shared a passion for running cattle.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. on March 19, 2023.

Survivors include a son, Jim McAdams and wife Jan of Amarillo; a daughter Carol Smith of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Buck Babcock and wife Jill, Dustin Babcock and wife LeAnn all of Groom, Tamara Cruz of Arlington, TX, Erin McAdams of Florida, and John McAdams and wife Lin of Thailand; nine great-grandchildren, Molly Babcock, Davis Babcock, Cutter Babcock, Jake Babcock, Brynlee Babcock, Kaleb McAdams, Kodi McAdams, Zediki Cruz and Lucas McAdams; and one great-great granddaughter Clarabel Grace.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to High Plains Children’s Home & Family Services, Inc. at 11461 S. Western Amarillo, TX 79918; or your charity or organization of your choice.
