Anthony Bourland, 45, of Amarillo, passed away on December 6, 2021 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday December 10, 2021 at South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S Georgia St, with Pastor Mike Martin officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Anthony was born on June 2, 1976 in Amarillo to Larry and Teresa Bourland. He grew up in the Amarillo area and always loved late model cars and trucks. Anthony grew up going to the mountains with his family and carried that tradition into his adult years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending his spare time at the river. Anthony was a people person and made friends wherever he went. He loved his family deeply and spent every spare moment he could with them. He liked listening to music.

Anthony was a United States Navy veteran and proudly served his country for fifteen years. He worked for a time as supervisor at Trac-Work Inc. doing railroad repair. Anthony will be remembered for his rough exterior but soft and kind heart. Anthony was loved by so many and will be missed.

Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Retha Bourland and his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Potter.

Survivors include his mother and father, Larry and Teresa Bourland of the home; two sisters, Celeste Powell and husband Robert of Freemont, Nebraska and Amanda Bourland of Amarillo; one brother, Chris Bourland and wife Cristie of Weaver, Alabama; his niece, Bella; one uncle, Clyde Ashworth and wife Paula of Eden; four aunts, Sherry Coleman of Amarillo, Tonia Hittson and husband Jack of Amarillo, Tina Davis and husband Steve of Amarillo and Glenda Tunnell of Dublin. Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
