Antonina Honorio Galanza

Antonina Honorio Galanza, 83 passed away March 18, 2022. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday March 25, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home located at 4180 Canyon Drive. Antonina’s family in the Philippines is currently holding a Novena in her memory from March 18, 2022 until March 27, 2022. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Antonina was born on March 16, 1939 in Sanchez Mira Cagayan Valley, Philippines to her father, Sotero Galanza and her mother, Margarita Honorio. She came to the United States in 1997 to live with her daughter and help raise her two grandchildren. Antonina loved to cook and tend to her garden. She enjoyed going to garage sales and she was always on a hunt to find things to send to her family back in the Philippines. Antonina loved her family fiercely, in the United States and her family back home in the Philippines. She had a love for animals but especially loved her dog, Beauty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Maria G. Saculpao; her brother Abelino Galanza.

Survivors include her only daughter, Mary Jean Covert and husband Lee of Amarillo, TX; two grandchildren, Anna Schmitt and husband David of Amarillo, TX; Helen Covert and fiancé Jeff Dorsey of Dallas, TX; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Neveah Schmitt; one sister Augustina Galanza Candaroma of the Philippines; and her beloved dog, Beauty.
