Arba Mae Miller

Arba was born on August 17, 1942 in Amarillo. She was raised in Amarillo, where she graduated from Tascosa High School in 1960. Arba worked for Pantex for over 29 years as a production scheduler and technician, retiring in 2008. She married Vernon Miller on February 12, 2008 in Amarillo. When she was able, she was active in her church. Arba enjoyed sewing and quilting and especially traveling with Vernon to places such as Alaska, Panama, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean. Most of all, she loved her kitties, Midnight and Freckles and adored being "Grammie" to her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Miller of Amarillo; 2 sons, Richard Burge of Amarillo and Chris Burge and wife Yvonne of Mesa, AZ; sister, Phyllis Tallman and husband Chuck of Alabama; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yates of Mississippi and 3 grandchildren, Heather Burge, Cody Burge and Kaleb Burge. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.J. and Jewell Jones; brother, Kenneth Yates; first husband, William "Bill" Burge and daughter-in-law, Marla Burge. The family will receive friends for visitation at the home of Marilyn Spring.
