Audrey Pearl Doss

Audrey Pearl Doss, 92, of Amarillo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 12, 2018. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Rev. Loran Harper officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Audrey was born December 24, 1925 in Cushing, Okla. to Harper and Margaret Short. She married to Arnold Doss, and together they raised their family on the farm. Audrey cooked for the farmhands, and drove a truck during harvest time. She taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church in White Deer for many years. She then worked for 18 ½ years at Beneficial National Life Insurance Co, where she managed the salvage dept. After that, she worked as a receptionist for Ware Living Center for 27 years, retiring at age 85. Audrey's family meant everything to her. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, which she read daily. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Arnold Doss; a daughter-in-law, Faye Doss; her son, Ronnie Doss and his wife Joy Doss; a granddaughter, Misty Doss Logan; a great-granddaughter, Heather Sells; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Maxine Keim. Survivors include two sons, Larry Doss and Gary Doss; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and very close friends, Louie and Kendra Black.
