Barbara Elaine Moore

Barbara was born on January 29, 1938 in Amarillo to H.J. and Billie Castleberry. She was raised here in Amarillo, graduating from Palo Duro High School in 1956. She married Albert Lee Moore in October of 1958. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2012. Barbie worked for the American Quarter Horse Association for a couple years before beginning her employment with Santa Fe Railroad. She worked there until her retirement in the mid 1980's. She then went to work for Dillards Department Store, where she worked for over 10 years. She was devoted to her church and faith and served on many boards at her church. She has been a member of Valley View Church of the Nazarene for over 40 years. Most of all, Barbie loved her family. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 sons, Darryl Moore and wife Mary of Amarillo, Kerry Moore and wife Stephanie of Bethany, OK and Terry Moore of Guthrie, OK; sister, Dortha Russell of Amarillo; brother, Duane Castleberry and wife Barbara of Amarillo and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert Lee Moore.
