Barbara Elaine (Holdaway) Morris

Barbara Elaine Holdaway Morris, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Dr. Nate Magloughlin, of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Barbara was born January 5, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas to Oby and Myrt Holdaway. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1965. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Morris on September 8, 1965 in Amarillo. Barbara dedicated her life to caring for her family. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Her family meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Oby Carl Holdaway; a brother, Jackie Carl Holdaway; and a grandson, Joshua Scott Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Morris; three sons, Kenneth Scott Morris and wife Mattie of Amarillo, Jeffery Kyle Morris and wife Meredith of Greenville, TX, and Brian David Morris and wife Courtney of Amarillo; her mother, Myrt Holdaway of Amarillo; a sister, Sharon Graham and husband David of Amarillo; nine grandchildren, Andrew Morris, Aaron Morris and wife Skye, Kenzie Morris, Katelyn Morris, Tyler Morris and Kylie Morris, Abigale Morris, Kyler Starkey, and Zakari Robbins; four great-grandchildren, Emerie, Brekkon, Kaygan, and Ryland; and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Barbara’s honor.
