Bari Don Blevins

July 30, 1947 — September 30, 2025

Amarillo

Bari Don Blevins, 78, of Amarillo, passed away on September 30, 2025 peacefully at his home.

He was born on July 30, 1947, in Hobbs, NM, to William “Carey” and Veda (Morris) Blevins.

Bari was known for his humor and ability to make friends with anyone he met. He worked as a Registered Nurse in Canyon, Tulia, and Amarillo, Texas. He was also a skilled car salesman for many years. His retired years he spent working at Lowe’s. Bari never passed an El Camino for sale that he didn’t want to buy and rebuild.

Bari married the love of his life, Cindy, on June 25, 1977, and together they shared 48 years of marriage and built a family filled with love. He ensured his wife was able to see the Pacific Ocean while travel nursing. They brought their beloved dog, Dozer, along for travel nursing stints in California, Colorado, and El Paso, TX.

Bari enjoyed spending summers with his kids and family at Green Belt Lake in Clarendon, TX. Weekend getaways to New Mexico were his favorite.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; brother Dee Blevins of Plainview, TX, and sister Janice Turner of Rockwell, TX; son Ron and wife Jody Blevins of Dallas, TX; daughter Carlie and husband Jeremy Zamora of Houston, TX; daughter Kara and husband Bob Stephens of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren Kestin and wife Lindsay Blevins of Fort Worth, TX; Anthony Blevins of Springfield, MO; and Christian Blevins of Springfield, MO; Zara, Violet, and Enzo Zamora of Houston, TX; Hunter, Wesley, and William Stephens of Amarillo, TX; and Kara and husband Cody Brooks of Pampa, TX; and great-grandchildren Carson, Ansley, Ian, and Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law Max Turner, and his sister-in-law Jeanette Blevins.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Interim Home Hospice for their assistance and compassion, and a warm thanks to Nurse Casey and Chaplain Mark for their kindness and support. Also, to Dr. Larry McAfee for always being there for there family.
