Beasley Lewis

Beasley was born on September 9, 1928 in Reagan, OK to Mack and Ore Lewis. He has lived in Amarillo since 1952. He worked as a roofer for many years at Plains Sheet Metal Roofing. He also worked for Levi Strauss. He retired from Maywood Manufacturing. Beasley coached ladies softball for Maywood. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved playing dominoes, especially Shoot the Moon. Beasley was very proud of his Choctaw heritage. He always taught people how to say "Halito", which means "Hello" in Choctaw. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by one son, Donald "Cody" Lewis in 2014. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Taylor and Marie Farbro, both of Amarillo; two sons, Kenneth M. Lewis and Michael Lewis, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
