Betty came to Amarillo in 1964 to be part of the Amarillo Air Force Base. In 1968, when the base closed, Betty elected to stay here in Amarillo. Over the years she worked for numerous businesses in the area taking care of their books. As a member of St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church Betty was very involved in church activities, and was a devout Catholic.
She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by Casmiro and Rosa Arriaga (parents)

She is survived by 3 sisters-Irma Duarte, Eva Arriaga, Rachael Garza and husband Ed,
1 Daughter-Cheryl Holmes and husband Buddy,
2 Sons-Roy Byrd and wife Judy, Lee Byrd and wife Cindy,
Grandkids-Ryan, Lisa, Lola, Evan, and Numerous great-grandkids
