Benny Davis, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 11, 2025, at the age of 75. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Ben's remarkable life and share in the stories that made him such a cherished individual.
Ben was born on February 24, 1950 in Wheeler, TX to Ray Davis and Ellen Jones. He attended and graduated from Palo Duro High School. Ben married the love of his life, Debbie Odom, on May 30, 1970 while in Mexico. Together, they built a rich life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He was known for his passion for golf and motorcycles; his zest for adventure was only matched by his ability to light up any gathering. Ben never met a stranger and always seemed to find joy in the company of others. Whether on the golf course or with his family, Ben made every moment count. A beloved family man, he found immense joy in playing his famous game "Gotcha Last" with his loved ones. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and his great-grandbaby brought him boundless happiness. Ben was indeed the life of the party, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Davis and Ellen Jones; his step-father Jack Jones.
Survivors include his loving wife Debbie; his daughter Mandi Winn and husband Shad; his son Landry Davis and his partner Amy Gallagher; his three grandchildren, Dalton, Peyton and his wife Kelsei; Reagan “Darlin”; his great-grandchild, Kaison. Survivors also include his brothers, Bob Davis and BJ Davis; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
