Services for Mrs. Beth (Murdock) Saxon, of Amarillo, TX will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home in Amarillo, TX, with Greg Corona officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery, TX. Mrs. Saxon, 86, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at her home in Amarillo TX following a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Beth (Murdock) Saxon was born March 14, 1935 in Plaska, TX in the family home to the late Mr. J H and Zona (Wilks) Murdock. She married the late Harold N. Saxon on November 3, 1951. She was a homemaker. Beth enjoyed reading, baking the best pound cakes ever and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 4 brothers, JH, Billy, Bobby and Elton Murdock, and 2 sisters, Claudine Wilson and Joyce Bloxom.

Mrs. Saxon is survived by her 3 daughters, Brenda Saxon of Amarillo TX, Susan and spouse Jim Starkey of Amarillo TX and Debra Saxon and spouse Sam of Warilla New South Wales, Australia, 2 granddaughters, Mrs. Jenna Bingham and spouse Kevin, Mrs. Amy McClenny and spouse Jarrod, 5 great-grandchildren; and Sister-in-law, Donna Murdock, of Odessa, TX.

The family would like to thank Harrington Cancer Center, Daniel Arsenault, MD, and his oncology team: Bobbie Perrin, FNP, Lauren Sirimandoham, RN, and Blanca Loucks, RN, OCN.  Also, much appreciation for Kindred Hospice and nurse, Jennifer Goforth, for the short-term at home care.
