Betty Fern (Pulliam) Weeks

Betty Fern Weeks, 78, of Amarillo passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Arden Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Vega Cemetery in Vega, Texas at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Betty was born October 21, 1940 in Clovis, New Mexico to Alfred and Clara Pulliam. She was a faithful member of Arden Road Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and scaring people. She especially loved spending time with family and playing games. Betty always enjoyed her mighty strong tea which many had tried it and many couldn’t take it. She will be remembered as a loving mom, sister and grandma and by her saying “next time you come back bring your scissors and we will cut up!” Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard Weeks; brother, Wayne Pulliam; step-daughter, Dyrika Weeks and nephew, Jimmy Pulliam. Betty is survived by sons, Ivan Thompson and wife Cathy and Carrey Thompson and wife Kristie; daughters, Tammy Kelley and husband Mike and Darla Berry and husband Fred; step-son, Larry Weeks and wife Carol; step-daughter, Debbie Weeks; bonus sons, Gary Gordon and wife Carla and Tommy Jack Thompson and wife Debra; sister-in-law, Glenda Pulliam; sister-in–love, Fern Thompson and husband Bill; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
