Betty Legatha Schuster

March 27, 1953 — February 11, 2016

Betty L. Schuster, 62, of Amarillo died February 11, 2016. She was born in Union Town, PA, to John and Legatha Thompson. Betty married Harris T. Schuster Jr., February 26th 1971. She was a devout mother to three children. For 28 years she made a wonderful home for them as they grew into adulthood. The last 15 years of her life she worked as a Health Unit Coordinator at BSA. Betty devoted much of her life to service through Clown Ministry, Girl Scouts, and the fraternal organization The Independent Order of Odd Fellows. She was a gal of many talents but crafting and cake decorating were her favorites. Spending time with her grandchildren and making them happy was what brought her joy. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, loving smile, caring spirit, and huge heart. Many will miss Betty but she will forever be in their hearts. She is preceded by her parents and her brothers Neil Thompson, Spencer Littlehales, and sister Wanda Henson. Betty leaves Behind her loving husband Harris T. Schuster Jr.; three children Bettima Schuster-Schackleford, Penelope Vick, and Harris T. Schuster IV and her five grandchildren with one on the way. She also leaves her brothers Dave Thompson, Charles Thompson, John Thompson, and Tom Littlehales. She is also survived by her stepmother Ruth Thompson.
