Betty R. Sullivan, 84, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Betty will be available for viewing from 1:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday and 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday.

Betty was born April 8, 1937 in Westen, Texas to Jim and Bessie Venable. She attended Dumas High School. She moved to Amarillo from Dumas in 1962. Betty married the love of her life, Jim Sullivan on May 26, 1985 in Amarillo. Betty dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a very talented seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed cooking and was a very good cook. She was a very funny and spirited lady, and she will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Sullivan; a son, J.B McCaskill; and a grandson, Kevin McCaskill.

Survivors include a son, Mike McCaskill of Amarillo;  a daughter-in-law, Beverly McCaskill of Howardwick; a grandson, Jimmy McCaskill and wife Erin of Lubbock; a sister, Mary Louise Robertson of Dumas; two brothers, Jimmy Gene Venable and wife Paula, and Larry Venable and wife Janie all of Dumas; two great-grandchildren, Matthew McCaskill and Paige McCaskill; many nieces and nephews that adored her; and her faithful fur-friend, Lucky.
