Betty Jo Wossum

Betty Wossum, 81, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in The Church at Quail Creek, 801 Tascosa Road, with Bobby Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Betty was born May 8, 1933, in Bluit, N.M., to Thelma and Barney Baker. Grandma Betty, or Mema's greatest aspect in life was spending time with her family and friends. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She was a member of The Church at Quail Creek. She worked for Blackburn's Clothiers for 32 years and also worked at Coffee Memorial Blood Center for five years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Barney Baker. Survivors include a son, Randy Wossum and wife Rosemary; a daughter, Cindy Carter; her grandchildren, Trinitie Edwards and husband Jason, Korina Police, Trey Wossum and wife Mikki, Brittney Farley and husband Beau and Vance and Shane Dunlap; a brother, Bob Baker and wife Joy; a sister, Nell Edlin and husband Jim; and her special friend, Gloria Coleman.
