Beverly Johnson, 62, of Amarillo, passed away on August 12, 2021 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday August 21, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Carter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Beverly was born on May 10, 1959 in Winkler, Manitoba in Canada to George and Justine Penner. Beverly married her husband, Wayne Johnson on September 20, 1992. She was a very strong and determined woman throughout her life and worked hard. She was a truck driver along with her husband, Wayne. Beverly loved her family, they always made her feel at home after a long trip on the road. Beverly always spoke with pride and joy about her children and grandchildren. She had a large truck family who loved Beverly and her husband, they called her “mama Beverly”. She was the kind of person to give the shirt off her own back to anyone that was in need. Beverly loved hard and cared deeply for those around her. She was loved by so many and will be missed.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Wayne H. Johnson, and “mom” Sara Johnson, her mother in Law.
Survivors include her son, Jay Johnson and wife Jaime of Dalhart; daughter, Melissa Sisneros and husband Steven of Dalhart; six grandchildren, Brett Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Peyton Maxwell, Michelle Arrington, Melody Gonzales, and Katherine Montoya; three great grandchildren, Hayley Arrington, Weston Arrington and Avah Powers; one brother, Mike Penner and wife Lucille; four sisters, Sandi Williamson and husband Todd of Richmond, TX, Patty Grzech and husband Kerry, Pauline Andrews and husband Chris all of Canada, and Brenda Bateman and husband Mike of Houston. Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews and her extended Truck family.
