Beverly “Ma” Pugh, 65, of Amarillo, passed away on March 18, 2024. Celebration of life services will be 2:00 PM Friday March, 22, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Beverly was born on January 7, 1959 in Wichita Falls to Billy and Carole Green. She graduated from Booker High School and attended Amarillo College in Amarillo. Beverly and her husband, Tommy have been together for 40 years, and celebrated 32 years of marriage together. Beverly worked as a nurse for over 22 years with TDCJ William P. Clements Unit in Amarillo.
Beverly was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and could be found every Sunday yelling at “The Boys”. She loved to dance, especially country and western dancing; Beverly also enjoyed going to the movies with her grandkids and her friends. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren most of all. Beverly was quick witted, had a strong personality with many good qualities. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone as a friend. Beverly had a big heart, and she will be missed by many.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Billy Green.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Pugh of the home; her son, Daniel Kelley and wife Michellelei; her daughter, Shannon Holmes and husband Russell all of Amarillo; her mother, Carole “Nana” Green of Amarillo; her brother, Ronnie Joe Green and wife, Julie of Quanah; four grandchildren, Justin Holmes, Sybil Holmes, Kaci Garcia and Timothy”Timmy” Rea; one great granddaughter, Merle Kanyon Holmes, many “adopted” kids and grandkids and her longtime friend and ex-husband John Kelley. Survivors also include her dogs, “The Girls”, Lily and Yoyo.
