Bill J. Allen

Bill J. Allen, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday March 15, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Richard James officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Bill was born February 27, 1932 in Koshkonong, Missouri to Joe and Gladys Allen. He graduated from Pitcher High School, and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill has lived in the Amarillo area since 1954. He worked for Pantex for 38 years. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed playing golf and watching Ancient Aliens. He was a member of Hillside Christian Church. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister. Survivors include three sons, Gary Allen of San Antonio, Michael  Allen and wife Karen of Amarillo, and Larry  Allen and wife Jill of Canyon; a sister, Lois Hinkle of Garden City, Kansas; and Rouena Montgomery, longtime companion;  five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
