Bill was born on December 11, 1924 in Harper County, OK to Waldo R. and Lilah Job Blanchard. He was raised in Oklahoma, where he received his diploma from Buffalo High School in Buffalo, OK. He then enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1945 and served until his honorable discharge in 1947. He worked in the cattle trade business, buying and selling cattle and judging livestock shows for many years.
Bill always had a special place in his heart for Oklahoma and always longed to be there. His friends and family will remember his tendency to speak his opinion and his great love of eating his many favorite foods. He was an intelligent man who was very knowledgeable in world events, had a great love of animals, especially dogs and cattle and was a beloved "Grandpa Bill" to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Sherri Williamson of Amarillo and Joy Slater and husband Ron of Fort Worth; 4 grandchildren, Gary Clem and wife Sandra, David Williamson and wife Leslie, Tim Slater and Brittnie Slater and 2 great grandchildren, Nora and Wyatt Williamson.
