Bill Floyd

Bill was born October 5, 1935 in Clovis, NM to Otis and Viva Floyd. He grew up in Bovina, and graduated from Littlefield High School. He then attended South Plains College in Levelland. Bill earned his Master's Degree in Education from WTSU. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1960. He married Marge Sexton in 1957. Bill began his teaching career in Sunray for 2 years. He then taught in Midland for one year, then returned to Sunray to teach for the next 20 years. He was a member of University Church of Christ in Canyon. Survivors include his wife, Marge Floyd of Canyon; 2 daughters, Anita Brassfield of Panhandle, and Barbie Clugy and husband Glen of Canyon; 1 sister, Linda Forehand and husband Steve of Bentonville, ARK; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Dig It Bible Camp, c/o Sunray Church of Christ, 700 S Ave N, Sunray, TX 79086.
