Bill Vance

Bill was born May 15, 1939 in Clovis, NM, to Roberta Ellen and Edward Jacob Vance. He was raised in McAlister and graduated from House High School in House, New Mexico. He has lived in Amarillo since 1962. He married Donna Whitman in Clovis, New Mexico on January 25, 1963. In 1972 they moved to Iowa. After three years, they returned to Amarillo, where he owned and operated Ray's Refrigerated Air. Bill was a devoted husband and father. He was a very active with all three of his sons through the Randall County Junior Livestock Association 4-H Program. Together as a family, they showed sheep for many years. He also loved his Yorkie pups, Megan and Beau. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving Bill are his wife, Donna; three sons, Eddy Vance and wife Linda of Lake Tanglewood, Bud Vance and wife Andrea and Shawn Vance all of Amarillo, 7 grandchildren, Ashley and husband Matt, Tyler and wife Alyssa, Maddie, Gracie, Sydni, Aubrey and Will; 3 great grandchildren, Lucas, Weston and Brittyn; his sister, Wilma McAlister and husband Don; and by his brother, James Edward Vance. The family suggests memorials be to the Randall County Junior Livestock Association or Lake Tanglewood Volunteer Fire Department.
