Billy C Bain

Bill C. Bain, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Lighthouse Church with Pastor Mark Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive guests for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home. Bill was born on January 21, 1947 in Dalhart to Bill and Ruth Bain. He was raised in Sunray, where he graduated from high school in 1965. He then married Vickie Scott and raised his children. Bill worked in the lab at Diamond Shamrock, in the farming industry and later in hazardous waste clean-up. He retired 10 years ago and enjoyed traveling, camping and watching auto racing as he was able. On October 23, 1998, he married Linda Van Tassel in Tucumcari, NM. Above all, Bill loved the Lord and continued to lead others to him during his illness. He is survived by his wife, Linda Bain of Amarillo; 6 children, Kelly Bain and wife Lori of Amarillo, Karla Kinikin of Canyon, Karrie Peoples of Hale Center, Stacey Van Tassel of Amarillo, Carolyn Van Tassel of Amarillo and Garry Van Tassel and wife Ann of Canyon; sister, Peggy Bradshaw of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Marilyn Bain and Bettie Medford
