Bobbie "Bj" Opperman

Bobbie Jean ”BJ” Opperman, 84, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 a memorial will be held at a future time. BJ was born on August 8, 1936 in Pampa to Robert and Jessica Hicks. She graduated from Amarillo High School and then earned her bachelor degree from West Texas State University. BJ worked for BSA in medical records. She was a social butterfly, and loved being around people. She was active in her church, Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, and also the Amarillo League of Women Voters. She was an avid reader. BJ was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Robert Caddell. She is survived by her sister, Alice Bell. The family suggests memorials may be made to Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4901 Cornell St. Amarillo, TX 79109.
