Bobby Lee Banks

Bobby was born on June 21, 1928 in Gainesville to Robert and Oma Banks. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1951, where he proudly served as military police until his honorable discharge in 1956. He married Gloria Hedrick Williams on February 1, 1989. Bobby worked for the Amarillo Fire Department for over 31 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed spending time with family traveling in his motorhome as he was able. He and Gloria are devoted members of St. Stephen United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jo and his best girl, "Libby." He is survived by his wife, Gloria "Glo" Banks of Amarillo; daughter, Evonne House of Amarillo; stepson, Randy Williams and Duston Logan of Dallas; grandsons, Ethan House and wife Mercede of Amarillo and Spencer House of Amarillo; great grandson, Zach House of Amarillo; niece, Rhonda Coker of Llano and nephew, Melvin "Bubba" Reid, Jr.
