Bobby Gist, 60, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday December 9, 2024 at Trinity Fellowship Church Student Ministry Building, 5000 Hollywood Rd. with Pastor Richard James officiating. A visitation gathering will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday December 8, 2024 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Bobby was born on August 23, 1964 in Pampa where he would later graduate from Pampa High School. On September 20, 2002 Bobby married his sweetheart, Angie Chacon; together they have celebrated over 24 years of marriage. He enjoyed live music concerts and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Bobby spent his spare time tinkering and was often referred as the “Jack of all trades, master of none”.
He enjoyed working with his guns and was a dedicated Christian man; Bobby loved Jesus. Above all, Bobby loved being surrounded by his family. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, James Gist and his sister, Barbara Brogdon.
Survivors include his wife, Angie Gist of the home; one daughter, Athena Fallin and husband Jon of Amarillo; five sons, Michael Martin and wife Maribel of Amarillo, David Gist of Amarillo, J.D. Martin and wife Tiffany of Houston, James Gist and wife Ceslea of Amarillo and Connor Gist, also of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Edward Clyde Fallin, Phoebe Tallulah Fallin, Hayden James Gist, Michael Antonio Martin, Joe Don Martin Jr. and Sophia Rose Martin; his mother, Shirley Gist. Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
