Bonner Green, 71, died Wednesday at his home in Amarillo.
Bonner is survived by his wife, Pamela, two step-sons: Brian Locke and
wife April of Amarillo and John Locke and wife Mary of Canyon. He also leaves behind eight
grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Caelan Locke, Cody Weibenga, Garrett Weibenga, Chaeli Locke,
Kayla Ehrlich, Brittany Ehrlich, Matthew Ehrlich, Teri Lynn Ehrlich and Eden Ehrlich.
Bonner is a veteran of the Viet Nam War, where he earned several medals
including the Bronze Star for bravery. While serving in Da Nang in the Air
Force he was wounded saving a pilot from a crash landing. Upon coming back to the states Bonner
began a career as a conductor for Santa Fe Railroad where he spent 18 years traveling across Texas.
After retiring from the railroad, Bonner ran his own photography studio, took
photos for several newspapers and for the last nine years, shuttled cars for
McGavock Nissan. Bonner truly enjoyed meeting people everywhere
