Bonnie Faye Hopper

September 4, 1949 — January 9, 2015

Bonnie was born on September 4, 1949 in Orange City, Iowa to John and Nellie GerritsenVan Peursem. She married Harold Wayne Hopper on May 11, 1973 in Deming, NM. Together they resided in Lubbock, before moving to Amarillo in 1994. She worked as a preschool teacher in many churches throughout Lubbock and Amarillo. She was a great friend and loved to love others. Her grandbabies were her pride and joy and she cherished nothing more than spending time with them. Most of all, Bonnie loved her Lord and was a devoted Christian. She is survived by her husband Harold Wayne Hopper of Amarillo; 2 sons, Michael W. Hopper and wife Marianne of Palm Springs, CA and Daniel Ruffier and wife Chris of Ft. Myers, FL; 2 daughters, Amy R. Harmon and husband Robert of Lubbock and Amber Fowler and husband Justin of Little Elm; 7 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Janet Withers and husband Michael of Hutto and Sandra Pierce and husband Raymond of El Paso. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Nathaniel Hopper.
