Bonnie (Bradwell) Trupe

Bonnie Bradwell Trupe, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Memorial services will be 10:00 Saturday February 20, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Dr. Buddy Young officiating. Bonnie was born February 19, 1931 in Grand Junction, Iowa to Harold and Winnie Bradwell. She graduated from high school in Grand Junction, and married Francis Trupe on August 20, 1949. They shared 43 years together before his death in 1992. Francis and Bonnie moved to Amarillo in 1977. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoyed traveling, reading, and visiting casinos. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David Trupe, and Terry Trupe; four brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, Gary Trupe and wife Michelle, and Rick Trupe and wife Margie all of Amarillo; two sisters, Patty Charlestrom of Fort Dodge, IA, and Carla Sorenson of Langdeer, MT; four grandchildren, Brandi Hemesath and husband Ronald, Jamie Trupe, Shawn Trupe, and Anthony M. Trupe; a great-grandson, Nathan Gonzalez, and 10 other great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to Amarillo Senior Citizen’s, 1217 S. Tyler St. Amarillo, TX 79101.
