Boyd Nathaniel Allen, 84, of Amarillo passed away January 31, 2022. Funeral services with military honors are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday February 5, 2022 at Trinity Fellowship Church – North Branch with Pastor Bo Williams and Pastor Tyler Leaavitt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Boyd was born on February 24, 1937 in Willow, Oklahoma to W.C. and Essie Dee Allen. He attended Panhandle High School. Boyd met and fell in love with Jeannie Wiginton. They were married on June 14, 1960 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later as an advisor for the Army Reserve. Boyd loved the great outdoors from fishing, hunting and boating with his family on the pontoon. He had a great sense of humor, he loved pulling pranks. Boyd loved watching old Western movies, reading any book, and listening to country music such as John Denver and Dolly Parton. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family. Boyd was a faithful and devout Christian. He has attended Trinity Fellowship Church for many years. Boyd was an excellent husband and father, he loved his family fiercely. He especially loved his grandchildren, always spoiling them rotten. Boyd loved to ride his motorcycle through the mountains with his family. He enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Boyd was a good dancer, he loved to dance to country music with his loving wife. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Essie Dee Allen; his two brothers, Dale Allen; Joe Allen; his daughter Raina Fore.
Survivors include his wife Jeannie Allen, of the home; his son, Scott Allen and wife Lenora of Ft. Worth, TX; seven grandchildren, J.C. Randall and wife Teresa of Fate, TX; Cory Randall and wife Janessa of Ft. Worth, TX; Christain Randall and wife Taylor of Ft. Worth, TX; Deanna Glaze and husband Toby of Doyline, LA; Dustin Allen and wife Brigette of Longview, TX; Mandy Baker of Dallas, TX; Branden Baker of Roy, UT; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Linda Thurman and husband Tom of Amarillo, TX; Joyce McClure and husband Scooter of Amarillo, TX. Survivors also include numerous other family members.
