Brady L. Jones

Brady L. Jones, 76, of Amarillo, died Monday, January 8, 2018. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Cox Funeral Home- Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Dr. with Pastor Brad Thompson of Southwest Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Brady was born December 18, 1941 in Decatur, to H.L. and Orene Jones. He grew up in Idalou and graduated from high school there. He attended MacMurray College and Texas Tech University. He was a member of Idalou Baptist Church. Brady married Gwen Sherrill in 1984 in Amarillo. He worked for Amarillo Biproducts and Asarco early on in his career. He then went on to work for Nutrifeeds for the next 20 years until his retirement. Brady was a member of Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge #841 for many years. He enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard, and dominoes. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Jones; two brothers, Daryal Jones and wife Marilyn of Denver, and James L. Jones and wife Becky of White River; five nieces; and three nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to Masonic Lodge #841, 5015 Gary Ave. Lubbock, TX 79413, or to Masonic Lodge #1239, 1701 S. Polk St. Amarillo, TX 79102.
