Brenda (Patterson) King

Brenda Patterson King, 67, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at The Loft Church, 4400 S. Georgia St. with Pastor Matt Johnson officiating. Brenda was born June 24, 1953 in San Diego, California to John and Mae Patterson. She graduated from Hereford High School, and attended Amarillo College. She worked for BSA for 12 years, and for Dr. Anderle’s office for four years. In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed going to the lake and to the mountains. She loved to fish, and she adored her dog, Charlie. Brenda is remembered as having a big heart. She always took care of everybody else. She attended Grace Church. Brenda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include a son, Michael King of Amarillo; a daughter, Bridgette Melton and husband Brandon of Amarillo; her mother, Mae Patterson of Hereford; two sisters, Sandy Beavers and husband Terry of Amarillo, and Lisa Patterson of Amarillo; a brother, Greg Patterson and wife Shelley of Hereford; six grandchildren, Randa, Melani, Brady, Brooklyn, Boston, and Braxton; and two great-grandchildren, Lane and Rylee; and a great-granddaughter on the way. The family suggests memorials may be made to Life Challenge of Amarillo, 6500 Hope Rd. Amarillo, Texas 79119.
