Brent Mulkey

Brent Mulkey, 56, of Amarillo, died Friday, October 6, 2017. Memorial services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 555 E. Hastings, with Donnie Conger officiating. Brent was born April 22, 1961 in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He married Dawna Wright on November 20, 1981. Brent worked for St. Anthony's Hospital, BSA Hospital, and Texas Tech Health Science Center in Amarillo in maintenance. Brent was a carpenter by trade and excelled at his craft. He was also a locksmith. In his spare time, he enjoyed baseball, fishing, shooting sports, and golf. He especially loved his dog, Charlie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Dawna Mulkey; a son, Clifton Mulkey and wife Lauren of Magnolia; his parents, Rex and Carol Anne Mulkey; two sisters, Michele Gibson and husband Gary of Amarillo, and Ashley Odneal and husband Dennis of Houston; a brother, Moody Mulkey and wife Denise of Amarillo; and two grandchildren, Avery and Annsley Mulkey. The family suggests memorials be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 555 E. Hastings, Amarillo, TX 79108.
