Buddy Bobbitt

Buddy was born March 21, 1938 in Clarendon to Hardy and Nadine Bobbitt. He graduated from Clarendon High School. He married Barbara Vinson in 1965 at Clarendon. She preceded him in death in January of this year. Buddy and Barbara moved to Dalhart in 1969, and then to Memphis in 1979. Buddy worked for GTE as a mechanic. He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed his collections, including knives, pocket watches, and coins. Buddy had a very generous heart, always putting the needs of others before his own. He loved spending time with his girls. Survivors include three daughters, Marla Green and husband Randy of Memphis, Karla Thomas and husband James of Eula, and Shera Carter and husband Charles of Amarillo; one brother, Emmit Bobbitt and wife Shirley of Lubbock; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Randy Davis and wife Kendra of Memphis. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; and a sister, Norma Putman. The family requests no flowers.
