Buddy was born in Houston, Texas. He married his wife Teri on June 13, 1989 in Amarillo. He worked as a tow truck driver for many years before going into over the road trucking. In his spare time, Buddy enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and going to his grandkids’ sporting events. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Mike Hughes.

Survivors include his wife, Teri Lee; two sons, Joshua Linton and Tommy Lee; a daughter, Heather Burtram and husband Daniel; his mother, Lynn Anne Hughes; two sisters, Lacey Davis and Holly Parham; two brothers, Joel Hughes and Scott Hughes; and four grandchildren, Ansley Dawson, Nevaeh Burtram, Bailey Dunlap and Nolan Dunlap.
