Carl Haidle, 75, of Amarillo, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Coulter Road Baptist Church, 4108 Coulter St. with Pastor Mike Dickey officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Carl was born November 13, 1946 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Glenn and Lois Haidle. He graduated from Caprock High School. He attended Amarillo College and earned his bachelor degree from Wayland Baptist University. Carl proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. While in the service, he was stationed at Ft. Davis in Panama. There he served as a military police officer, which led him into law enforcement as a career. He married Patsy McKinney on June 5, 1965 in Amarillo. Carl worked for the Potter Co. Sheriff’s office for 27 years, retiring as a lieutenant in 2001. He went on to work for the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in Internal Affairs for 10 years, retiring for the second time in 2011. Carl was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, as well as being a Master Mason and a Shriner. He was also a member of the Amarillo Area Law Enforcement Lion’s Club. He earned many certifications during his career in law enforcement. In his spare time, Carl loved to travel and take his family on cruises. The family went on many cruises throughout the years. He loved his boat and his RV. He was an avid stamp collector and fisherman. He and Patsy were member of Coulter Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Linda.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Haidle; two daughters, Tonya Haidle and Tamra Haidle both of Amarillo; two brothers, Terry Haidle and wife Kathy of Tijeras, NM, and David Haidle of Los Lunas, NM; and two sisters, Kimberly Quintana and husband Billy of Albuquerque, NM, and Sandra Wright and husband Johnny Warnke of Pea Ridge, AR.
